Notice of AGM

Dear County Member

The Avon County and BaD Squash AGM will take place on Wednesday, 21st of June 2023 from 6:00-9:30pm at BAWA, Pavilion, 589 Southmead Road, Filton, Bristol, BS34 7RF

We may make attendance available for Google Meet

We shall be returning to the format prior to the first lockdown in 2020.

6pm - Prem A Shootout featuring 1 player from each Prem A team from both halves. Format is two round robin groups with winners playing off for the trophy. All matches are 1 game to 11 (sudden death at 10 all).

6:30 ish - Food (free to you)

7:30pm - AGM

We will publish the Agenda no later than Wednesday, 7th of June 2023.

Items of any other business must reach the Chairman in writing no later than midnight Wednesday, 31st of May 2023.

Any proposed rule changes or other changes regarding the league must reach the League Secretary and Ladies League Secretary in writing no later than midnight Wednesday, 31st of May 2023.  Please document your case clearly showing how it would work, why the change is needed etc.  Please note any proposed changes may result in working parties being created to work through before they are ultimately put to a vote.

All nominations for election of Officers shall be made in writing no later than Wednesday, 7th of Jun 2022 and sent to the committee.  At the discretion of the committee, nominations may be accepted at the AGM. 

Avon Squash & Racketball Association has 3 Trustees. One third of the Trustees must 'retire' every year.  Those individuals may offer themselves up for reelection.   The minimum number of Trustees permitted is 3 and the maximum number is 10.

Current elected trustees are:

Seamus Singh (Workout)

Duncan Higgins (Workout)

Richard Bickers (Redland Green)

This year Duncan Higgins is 'retiring' and is willing to stand for reelection.

Secretary: Vacant

Treasurer: Duncan Higgins  (Workout Harbourside)

Mixed League Secretary: Richard Bickers (Redland Green)

Ladies League Secretary: Sandie Doran (Redland Green)

All current officer holders are willing to stand again for re-election.  Nominations for all of the above roles are welcome but must be received no later than 7th June 2023
