Update from the Treasurer - Please pay your league fees

    Hi everyone,

It's been a little while since I've sent out an update and with squash opened up again and the leagues up and running, I've got a few things to note.

    Firstly

A nag. I have sent out all the league fees for the winter season last month. Thanks to all the clubs that have paid so far. We do have quite a few outstanding though.

We discussed it within the committee last night and have decided that we will start to impose penalty points on clubs that haven't paid their fees.

Initially, we'll impose 10 points for each team of a club that hasn't settled their fees by Friday 26th November. These can be removed if the fees are settled before the end of the winter leagues on Friday December 17th.

I will send out reminders to all my club contacts for those with fees outstanding. Please can you ensure that your club details are up to date on ths website if you think you haven't paid your fees, as my emails might not be making it through to you.

    Secondly

A nag, but in a better way. we have a nice pool of grants available to anyone in the county. They are available to support activity that will help us achieve our objectives: Improving participation for Ladies, Juniors, and Racketball in the County. We also have a pot of money for COVID bounce back grants of £100 per club, for an event to celebrate playing again.

Please get in touch if you are interested in applying for a grant. Usually, all we ask in return is some publicity on our website/social fees to say thanks, so not much!

    Thirdly

We're due to enter our Inter County Teams for the season that starts early in 2022. At the moment, I'm entering in the following teams:

    -Ladies Senior
    -Ladies O40
    -Mens Senior
    -Mens O45s
    -Mens O55s
    Mens O35s

If I've missed any or you're interesting in running another team, please let John Welton and I know by next Wednesday (17th).

    Lastly

I hear a lot that there is some good interest in running racketball team leagues within the County. We would love to have a volunteer to run this on the committee's behalf. If you are interested, please let me know and I can set up a meeting with the committee to discuss options.

Thanks for reading through to the end - it wouldn't be a finance update if it wasn't nag heavy :)
