International Racketball/Squash57 Tournament - Madeira Island

 

The Associação Desportiva Galomar will organize, on January 11th and 12th, 2020, the 1st edition of the International Racketball/Squash57 Tournament, which will take place in Madeira Island, more specifically in the facilities of Galo Resort Hotels, in the well-known courts of the Ginásio Galo Active.

Following the tremendous sporting success and excellent reputation accumulated throughout of the latest editions of the Madeira International Squash Tournament (TIM) - a PSA competition that has already brought to the small Atlantic island names such as Nick Matthew and Ramy Ashour -, the Caniço based club are now preparing to receive Racketball/Squash 57, a sport that has seen a considerable increase in the number of players and notable success, especially in the United Kingdom.

This is an international event with a prize money of 1000 euros and categorized by the Portuguese National Squash Federation as Level 3, thus counting for the national ranking of the sport. Therefore is expected the presence of the main Portuguese players in the event.

Entries must be made online via email: [email protected], by 8 pm on 4th January 2020, with a fee of EUR 15 for male / female athletes and EUR 10 for junior athletes. Players must have an active membership in the National Squash Federation.

The official ball of this Open will be the black ball of Dunlop - Pro Racketball.
