    County Development Plan

We would like to invite you to participate in the process of defining our development plan, if that is something you have an interest in.  This is part of our desire to
    1. be inclusive,
    2. keep you all aware of what we are doing, and
    3. provide an opportunity to contribute
During a recent session everyone was given 10 minutes to jot down their ideas on post it notes - single idea per note.  We then shared them with each other and grouped them into common piles where possible.  After that the group went through each pile and made a decision based on discussion etc whether it was a 1, 3 or 5 year goal.  I will document all of that in a format that will allow everyone to contribute remotely.

If you would like to participate please email your contribution to [email protected] with "Development Plan" in the subject and answeri this question:

What do you want to see happening within the County (ie goals, aims etc)?

When answering that question keep in mind the following:
    • Limit yourself to 10 min and come up will all your ideas
    • You may submit many ideas each as a separate bullet point adding any clarifcation required for us to understand your intent
    • We are not concerned with any impediments to the vision at this stage, this is all about getting a collection of uncensored ideas/visions
    • At this stage no idea is a bad idea
    • We are thinking short, medium and long term (1, 3 and 5 year time frames)
    • All forms of the game (squash and squash57/racketball)
    • All age groups (junior/adults) and both genders
    • Anything else to do with the county not just the actual game/league/tournaments - touching every part of running the County and what it will try and accomplish during the next 5 years
    • If you feel so inclined, indicate if you think your ideas are 1, 3 or 5 year goals
The next stage will be involve to going through all of that and for each item in the short and medium categories do the following and this will take place during Dec:
    1. List any impediments/blockers that can be envisage for each item
    2. List any steps that can be taken that would make progress on each item (this can include steps to remove any impediments/blockers identified in 1 above)

If you would like to be notified of further meetings planned please also let us know on the same email address.

    Regards

    Seamus Singh
