Match reports from the girls Inter County Squash Championships

GU17:

Our first match of the season was against Dorset. It was a very tough match for all of the girls, losing 3-0 in each match! However, throughout the games, the girls put up a tough fight, and did not let the opponents win easily. All of us came off the court feeling proud of how we played. Everyone learnt lots from the experience. We are all very excited for our next match!

GU19:

Girls U19 Inter County Squash Championships

The first match for Avon was against Somerset. It was a tough match for Avon Girls, losing 3-0, 3-0 and a win of 0-3 from the number 1, Karina Tyma.It didn’t get any easier for Avon in the next match against Gloucestershire where the Girls lost 3-0, 3-0 and another win for Karina 0-3.The Girls didn’t give up and they showed perseverance in their next match against Sussex. The girls all won their games, a 3-0 from Micaela Phillips, 3-1 from Ellie Weldrake and another 3-0 win from Karina Tyma. Overall, it was a good day and good experience for the girls but was tough as they’d only just moved up to the U19 category but that didn’t stop them!
