Notice of County AGM

Dear County Member

The Avon County and BaD Squash AGM will take place on Wednesday, 16th of June 2021 from 7:30-9:30pm.

As we did last year, the AGM will be run entirely online through Google Meet so we're hoping that it'll be easy for you to join.

We will publish the Agenda no later than Wednesday, 2nd of June 2021.

Items of any other business must reach the Chairman in writing no later than midnight Wednesday, 26th of May 2021

All nominations for election of Officers shall be made in writing no later than Wednesday, 26th of May 2021 and sent to the committee.  At the discretion of the committee, nominations may be accepted at the AGM.

Current elected officers are:

Chairman: Seamus Singh (Workout)

Secretary: Vacant

Treasurer: Duncan Higgins  (Workout)

Mixed League Secretary: Richard Bickers (Redland)

Ladies League Secretary: Wendy Harrison (Lansdown)

All current officer holders are willing to stand again for re-election.  Nominations for all of the above roles are welcome.

In addition, the following are co-opted members of the committee:

County Junior Coach: John Welton (Lansdown)

Head of Marketing: Stephen Williams (Lansdown)

Head of Referees: Phil Rea (Redland)

Head of Social Media and Website: James Davenport (Workout)

Ladies Development Officer: Vacant

Safeguarding Officer: Conall Platts (Lansdown)

Schools Development: Will Duffett (Bradley Stoke)

Important

At last year's AGM the proposal to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) was approved and this has now been completed.  We are now an official charity under the name of The Avon Squash & Racketball Association - Registered Charity CIO Registration Number 1193356 (England and Wales).  As agreed at the AGM last year a motion to windup AVON and BRISTOL & DISTRICT SQUASH and transfer the assets to The Avon Squash & Racketball Association will be put to the membership at the AGM.
