    Hi All

    This is the start of many BAD Squash news letters - Letting Squash people know what's going on in the Bristol and Surrouding areas.

    Doubles League

    Looks like we have some clear leaders in the Doubles League - Westbury David Lloyd are top in Div 1, Weston top in Div 2, and Nailsea top in Div 3. Most matches have been played and only one small problem with rankings - thanks to Richard Bickers for sorting.

    Doubles Competition

    The BAD Squash Doubles Competition will be held at BLTSC (Redlands) on the 9th - 11th October - If you would like to enter please e mail David Jenkins at [email protected] - entry is £10 a pair with Mens / Ladies / Mixed and Plate events..... Closing date is 25th September....

    Winter League

    Its almost upon us, same amount of teams (tbc) as last year in the Mens League - First game will be 7th October - Please can all captains update details on website. Please can captains look out for rule 15 - I get automatic updates - I do not want to take points off! Pat Sherwood is very busy sorting Ladies league - could be two Divisions this year - TBC - Any Problems please e mail me at [email protected]

    National Events

    The British Open takes place on the 8th - 14th September at Manchester - We have two local players entered - Barney Elworthy from BLTSC has a difficult draw against Hadrian Stiff (No 2 seed / Redlands Coach) in the over 35 age Group. Jeremy Goulding from Lansdown is seeded 5/8 in the Over 50 age Group... Good luck to both... you can find results at www.englandsquashandandracketball.com

    Junior News

    BLTSC are holding their first National Junior Event on the 2nd-4th October with U13/U15/U17/U19 Age Groups.. If any juniors which to enter - Please visit www.bltsc.co.uk click on squash Calender and all info is there.. Good luck to all local juniors

    Local News

    BLTSC held its Club Champioships in April - Barney Elworthy took the Mens title beating Frank Ellis 3/0 - Alice Bishop (now Alice Clark) won the Ladies title beating Ann Manley 3/1. Hutton Moor are holding a marking course on the 7th September - Good luck to them - If any other club wants to hold a course - e mail David Jenkins... The first Racketball Challenge match is being held on the 15th September at Weston against David Lloyd.. results to come... I'm sure other clubs could play some matches?

    Suggestions

    Please can everyone pass on information about your club - who's club champion, who's done what and were, any news to do with BAD Squash people? Has anyone suggestions regarding the Website or League... Well done Matt Sharp (www.mircoserveltd.co.uk) who has jusy sold a copy of the website to Yorkshire Squash... lets hope more Countys join us.
